by my pair which are unfortunately brother & sister
- they had plenty of mates to choose from in the aviary,
but chose to pair up to each other.
Mynca
was abandoned on Wednesday 17th October 2007, left on the
floor cold and unfed. I bought him in and began hand-feeding
him. 2 days afterwards I prepared a cage and bought his
mother Viola in. I supplemented Mynca's feeding for the
first 3 days but Viola has now taken over and is rearing
and weaning Mynca on her own now.
Mynca
is fearless, extremely tame and likes being stroked and
cuddled. He was very slow to wean - couldn't graps the technique of throwing the seed back into his throat.
