Unknown if the pair are proven. Drucilla was sitting tight on 1 egg, which she had laid on a mound of twigs and hay she has arranged on top of a Budgie nest box. |

The
pair eventually managed to lay in the nest pan and have had
success! Two 1 week old squabs are in the nest and both parents
are sitting tight, with the cock defending the nest. |

The youngest squab (by about 3 days) was thrown out of the nest at 1 1/2 weeks old. I am currently hand-rearing him. He's now called Muesli and I'm having problems weaning him (he's now a month old). He has a neurological problem as his legs & feet don't work properly. I think he has had about 2 strokes as when he first came out of the nest his feet stretched out straight in front of him and 1 foot is now curled. This was improving and he had managed to perch and was running around, but on Saturday 24th July, the latter reoccured. I just hope he recovers again.
